TMMES was notified by our vet that a local horse owner no longer wanted Twister due to colic issues. The owner had bought her for breeding, but Twister had other ideas – she wasn't crazy about the draft horse she was being bred to! We found out Twister is a registered National Show Horse and registered Pinto who had already been involved in a cruelty case with another owner earlier in her life. So of course we went to get her, and with some IV fluids and TLC, she was fine. She now lives a happy and carefree life in sanctuary at TMMES.
